The project of “High Power Narrow Linewidth Fiber Laser†has broken through the semiconductor gain after nearly two years of efforts. High-power narrow-linewidth fiber laser prototypes have been developed for key technologies such as chip design and high-efficiency package coupling, new hot-melt bonding in glass fiber preparation, and high-concentration uniform doping, narrow-linewidth fiber laser amplifier nonlinear effect suppression. Recently, the project passed the mid-term inspection organized by the High Technology Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

High-power narrow-linewidth fiber lasers combine high peak power and narrow linewidth characteristics with an all-fiber structure. They are one of the key components of major scientific instruments such as laser precision measurement, laser ranging and telemetry. At present, domestic high-power narrow-linewidth fiber lasers mainly rely on foreign imports, and domestic products cannot be supplied. By using the ridge waveguide of asymmetric grating and the cone gain structure of large cavity, the grating structure parameters are optimized to reduce the linewidth value of the laser, and a high reliability narrow linewidth pulsed laser seed source is developed. High-rate low-noise light is studied. Key technologies such as SBS suppression, SPM compensation and mode control in amplified, narrow-linewidth fiber lasers, high-power narrow-linewidth fiber laser output; high-power narrow-linewidth fiber lasers for engineering applications; laser radar Remote sensing application demonstration research and industrialization promotion.
During the implementation of this project, the project team developed high-density doped glass, two kinds of vitreous special optical fibers, semiconductor gain chips and other "card neck" core components, breaking through the design and fabrication of semiconductor gain chips and high-efficiency package coupling, low loss and high The key technologies such as the preparation of the gain glass fiber and the nonlinear effect suppression of the narrow linewidth fiber laser amplifier finally developed a high power narrow linewidth fiber laser prototype.
The next step of the project will strengthen the overall design of instrument reliability, speed up reliability test verification, improve product stability, and further accelerate the progress of application demonstration and engineering implementation.
