The device has been operating in equilibrium until now, and the free chlorine and condensed water in chlorine water have been successfully recovered, thereby reducing the production cost of chlor-alkali products and creating considerable economic benefits. The vacuum dechlorination device recovers and uses chlorine water, and the separated wet chlorine gas is sent to a chlorine treatment process for drying. Chlorine water is generated during the cooling and dehydration process of wet chlorine gas. The wet chlorine produced from the electrolyzer, together with the wet chlorine from the vacuum dechlorination, first enters the chlorine water scrubber and enters the section titanium cooler and is cooled by circulating water. The moisture content of the chlorine gas at this time is already very small and is removed by the water mist demister. After the water mist enters the drying tower, it is further removed from the water and dried. The chlorine water washing tower is prevented from retaining chlorine water in the pipeline of the chlorine water storage tank, so that the chlorine water storage tank is subjected to high pressure, which causes trouble for normal production.
Discharging chlorine water directly simplifies the operation process and reduces labor intensity. However, the solubility of chlorine in water decreases with increasing temperature (especially in summer), and a large amount of chlorine gas escapes from chlorine water, which will seriously pollute the environment. It poses a threat to the health of employees and surrounding people. Manufacturers have now used heat to recover some of the chlorine in chlorine water. The use of caustic soda to neutralize chlorine water solves the problem of chlorine gas escaping from polluting the environment. However, the use of caustic soda to neutralize chlorine water will inevitably consume large amounts of caustic soda, which will increase production costs of chlor-alkali products. Due to market restrictions, sales of sodium hypochlorite in northern China are mostly discharged, so manufacturers generally limit the production of sodium hypochlorite in order to reduce production costs.
