A robot is being displayed at the Jewish Museum in Berlin. As a specially trained scribe, it carefully scribbles every word on the Torah scroll. This technique is the brainchild of the German artist team robotlab. It will take three months to complete this 260-foot scroll. Compared to it, it takes one person a year to complete the work.
"Although it guarantees the sanctity of the Bible, the installation of this technology highlights the recurrence of its industry," the museum explained on its website. “It simulates a technology that has been lagging behind the media for centuries of development.†No matter how primitive the work of the robot is, it still cannot be used in the synagogue. "In order for the law to be holy, it must be written on parchment with goose feathers. This process must be full of meaning, and at the same time it must be written."
If you are curious and have an opportunity in Berlin, the robot show will be until January 15 next year.
