On November 27, 2017, the eighth meeting of the Automotive Working Group under the China-EU Industrial Dialogue and Consultation Mechanism was held in Brussels. The two sides introduced the recent development situation of the EU-China auto industry, future short-term forecasts and related policy developments, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues such as new energy auto industry policies, fuel consumption and CO2 emission regulations, and intelligent network development strategy. The two sides decided to continue to cooperate in the coordination of global technical regulations and the revision of automobile lighting standards and regulations in the second phase of electric vehicle safety, and further strengthen communication and coordination at the UN regulatory level with the focus on intelligent networked vehicles, and support China Intelligent Networking Automotive. The Industrial Innovation Alliance and the European Automotive and Telecommunications Industry Alliance carry out exchanges and cooperation.
The two sides agreed that the China-Europe Automotive Working Group is an important platform for bilateral government and industry exchanges and is of great significance for China and the EU to strengthen information communication, practical cooperation and international coordination. Under the China-Europe Automobile Working Group, the two sides will further innovate exchange forms, increase the frequency of exchanges, expand the scope of exchanges, and set up expert working groups on hot topics such as intelligent networked cars and new energy vehicles, which are of mutual concern, to carry out special exchanges and dialogues. .
