It is reported that the SCHOTTEL LEACON system has been used as a proven service system since November 2009. The independent seals on the seawater and the seals on the gearbox side not only ensure the entry of seawater into the system, but also ensure that the system overflows. The oil can be collected in an intermediate chamber (LEACON chamber) to prevent seawater from entering the gearbox, especially to prevent the gear oil from leaking into the seawater. This connected negative pressure system automatically allows the leaked fluid to enter the compact of the mainframe. cabin.

In addition to the oil-sea interface leak-free seal, the SCHOTTEL LEACON system also monitors the seal status. This automated system records the amount of leaking fluid collected, confirming the status of the seal system at all times, and any seal breakage can be detected early. Carry out maintenance work in a timely manner.

In the future, SCHOTTEL customers can still use tried and tested mineral oil gear oils to meet current SCHOTTEL lubricant requirements, saving money without the need for bio-oil and related maintenance.

When needed, the SCHOTTEL LEACON system can also be combined with bio-oil to ensure maximum environmental performance.
