According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly manufacture chemicals and traders for the domestic petroleum, petrochemical and chemical industries, as well as manufacturers and traders of downstream related industries such as light industry, textiles, electromechanics, and automobiles, and carry out chemical requirements under EU REACH regulations. In addition, both parties are also planning to jointly hold a seminar on REACH regulations in Beijing in early March of this year and conduct registration training.

It is understood that according to the REACH regulation implementation schedule, the pre-registration of chemicals will begin on June 1 this year. This regulation is China's largest trade barrier since China's accession to the WTO. The implementation of laws and regulations will affect more than 90% of the chemicals trade between China and Europe. To this end, the Petrochemical Association attaches great importance to the response to the REACH regulations and has taken and plans to adopt a series of measures to help companies successfully complete pre-registration and registration.
