Mahle ballast water treatment system received orders for 6 container ships

It is reported that Mahle, a water treatment specialist, has received orders from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. to install OPS (Ocean Protection System) ballast water treatment system for six new 9600 teu container ships.
It is reported that the container ship, which will be operated by Hamburg SÃ¼d Shipping Company, is 332 meters long and has a width of 48.2 meters. It is expected to be delivered from May 2013 to January 2014. The OPS 800 system will be installed with a processing capacity of 800 m3/h. Meets IMO D2 standards.
