Maersk confirms that shipboard power can be further reduced

Maersk has confirmed that the load on the marine two-stroke mainframe can be reduced to less than expected. In this way, shipping companies can reduce fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions. It is reported that Maersk has demonstrated that the operating load of these mainframes can be as low as 10% of the host power and 40-60% of the minimum recommended by the host supplier, through more than one year of testing on more than 100 container ships.
