In the first five months, logistics costs increased by nearly 20%

The report also shows that in the total social logistics in the first 5 months, the total volume of industrial product logistics was 54 trillion yuan, up 14.1 percent year-on-year; the total volume of imported goods logistics was 4.5 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.7 percent year-on-year. During the same period, logistics costs remained high. From January to May, the total cost of social logistics was 3 trillion yuan, an increase of 18% year-on-year. Among them, transportation costs were 1.6 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.5% year-on-year; storage costs were 1 trillion yuan, an increase of 23.2% year-on-year; and management expenses were 0.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 19.8% year-on-year.

It is understood that as logistics costs continue to grow rapidly, and in particular the growth of transportation costs continues to accelerate, the high cost of logistics companies and the tightening of funds have not changed, and operational difficulties are still large.
