According to foreign reports, China's Beiqi Foton recently signed an agreement with local UAE dealers, and its trucks will advance into the country’s automobile market.
Liberty Automobiles, the United Arab Emirates, announced that it will be selling Toyota's heavy-duty, medium- and light-duty trucks as well as special-purpose vehicles. Prior to this company's business was limited to sales of passenger cars. According to Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of Liberty Automobiles, the company has been engaged in automotive dealership business for 35 years and has decided to expand its business scope to new areas such as trucks and special-purpose vehicles.

However, neither Foton nor Liberty Automobiles disclosed specific details such as time to market and expected sales scale.
Sheikh Khalid pointed out that the company’s agreement with Futian is a signal that the country’s auto market is recovering from a downturn. Futian said that it will continue to develop the Middle East market.
