Beijing will no longer restrict the working days of pure electric vehicles

On May 19, the Public Security Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau promulgated the "Circular on Limitation of Pure Electric Vehicles Not Subject to Zone Limits during Working Hours", from June 1, 2015 to April 10, 2016. Electric minibuses are not subject to restrictions on regional line restrictions during workday peak hours.

In order to implement the Beijing Municipal People's Government Circular on Implementing Regional Limited Traffic Management Measures during Working Hours Peak Hours, the pure electric minibus is not subject to the restrictions imposed by the regional restrictions on working hours during the peak hours of the working day. The relevant matters concerning passenger cars are as follows:

1. From June 1st, 2015 to April 10th, 2016, the city's licensed electric powered passenger cars will not be restricted by the regional restrictions on travel during peak hours during the working day.

Second, pure electric minibus refers to a small passenger car driven by an electric motor with a rechargeable battery as its sole power source.

3. For pure electric minibuses (excluding taxis) that were registered before September 1st, 2014, the driver’s license issued by the motor vehicle cannot distinguish whether it is a pure electric minibus. Before June 1st, it will go to the six vehicle management branches of our bureau for centralized management. The redemption of the driving permit requires the following formalities:

(I) Identification of motor vehicle owners. The original certificate of organization code provided by the unit, the power of attorney of the organization's official seal, and the identity card of the operator; the original owner’s ID card belonging to the individual, who is temporarily employed by another province or city, must also provide a temporary residence permit. Also need to submit the agent ID card and the owner's power of attorney.
